            The Knibb High School African Drumming Ensemble was created for music and non-music students alike to experience music from West Africa.  We aim to expand cultural awareness by giving students a chance to hear performances from guest musicians and by giving students the opportunity to perform West African music. 
            Possibly the most enriching experiences ADE students will experience are visits from master drummers from places like Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, and Senegal.  These performers not only bring with them knowledge of West African drumming traditions, but they bring cultural insights into other West African instrumental music, dance, and traditions associated with music.
            All students are welcome to participate in the ensemble for a fee.  This fee is used to purchase new drums and bring in visiting musicians.  ADE also does fundraising projects to help cover these sometimes expensive costs.
