Kristian Lopez

My name is Kristian Lopez, and I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. As of right now, I am open to trying new things in the “Art Department.” My exploration has no boundaries when it comes to art. I want to try photography, digital art, art direction, and even drawing. I feel that these skills will be valuable in the workplace.

When it comes to career aspirations, I think of the Confucius quote, “Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life.” After looking at the different majors that UTSA offered, I declared Marketing. It wasn’t until 2008 that I found my real interest, which happened to be advertising and design. First and foremost, my main goal is to work for an advertising company. If my job decides to take me elsewhere, I will gladly take the opportunity to explore other cities, which I have yet to do. My long term goal is to own my own advertising company.

Concerning the Confucius quote, I strongly believe finding what you love to do is the easy part. Finding “a job you love” is slightly more complicated. “Never work a day in your life” is the aspiration.
