![]() Alfred R. Medina, Jr. Hello and welcome to my website. I'm Alfred Medina, the assistant band director at Brackenridge High School. This will be my 3rd year at Brackenridge. Prior to Brackenridge I was the band director at Rhodes Middle School. I attended Rogers Middle School and Highlands High School as a student. I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I studied saxophone under Harvey Pittel. My music education professors included Dr. Robert Duke, Mr. Glenn Richter, and Dr. Kevin Sedatole. I performed in the UT Longhorn Band, UT Symphonic Band, and the UT Sax Choir. I am a member of Phi Mu Alpha. I moved back to San Antonio right after graduating and became the Band Director at Rhodes Middle School. During my second year at Rhodes Middle School, we achieved the sweepstakes award, a first in the school's existence. I love to play the saxophone. I have both classical and jazz experience on most of the saxophone instruments. I've also learned to play the baritone and bassoon fairly well. My favorite music programs include Sibelius, Garage Band, Reason, and Pyware. Examples of my music technology work Project 1 © 2007, Firstname Lastname |
